THE TELEGRAPH SCHOOL AWARD – 2017
The brilliant performance of the students in AISSE & AISSCE -2017(CBSE Board Exam. Classes 10 & 12), competitive examination 2017 had set a bench mark. To recognise their meritorious achievements Hem Sheela Model School, Durgapur received THE TELEGRAPH SCHOOL AWARD-2017 for excellence in academics(CBSE) on 26th August in the science city auditorium, Kolkata. Hem Sheela is second time recipient of this EXCELLENCE IN ACADEMICS AWARD.
The school was adjudged as No. 1 in the state of West Bengal. Hem Sheela is proud of its outstanding achievers.
Team Supernova from Hem Sheela Model School participated for the first time in the Quality Control presentation(Durgapur Chapter) as members of the Quality Circle Forum of India(QCFI). The team bagged the gold trophy and got selected for the National level hosted by National Convention for Quality Concepts (NCQC) at Chennai in the month of December 2015. The outstanding performance at the National level in Chennai was highly appreciated and the team qualified for the international level to be hosted by International Convention for Quality Control Concepts(ICQCC) in Bangkok in the month of August 2016. We extend our heartiest congratulation to the team for being immensely successful. Hem Sheela wishes them good luck for next level.

Hem Sheela into the Hall of Fame
Every year The Telegraph Education Foundation recognizes achievements of schools and students who have excelled in various fields. It is indeed a moment of pride for each one of us that this year Hem Sheela Model School received The Award for Excellence in Academics. Congratulations to all the stakeholders of the institution.
SAGNIK MAZUMDER, a student of standard – XII (session 2015 – 2016), has crossed all hurdles and has come out in flying colours – a commendable achievement for Hem Sheela Model School. He has qualified as Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) awardee and attended International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC). He has been finally selected for the Indian team, comprising six members, to represent India in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), which will be from 04/07/2015 till 16/07/2015, to be held at Chiang Mai, Thailand. Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) finances the international travel of the Indian team.
